Edit and Regenerate AI Video Voiceover

You can fix narration without redoing the whole video. ScreenDub splits each video into segments, and you edit one segment at a time. Only that part changes.

How to correct a segment#

1. Open the project in the editor.
2. Find the segment you want to change.
3. Edit the script for that segment.
4. Re-narrate it. ScreenDub generates fresh audio for that segment alone.

The rest of the video stays exactly as it was.

The first edit is free#

The first time you re-narrate a segment, it is free. It does not use your monthly minutes. So you can polish a line without worrying about your quota. If you re-narrate that same segment again later, the new audio counts toward your minutes like any other narration.

Let ScreenDub reword it#

You do not have to write the fix yourself. Each segment has a rewrite menu with four options:

• Rewrite. A fresh take on the same line.
• Shorten. Same point, fewer words. Useful when the narration runs past the action on screen.
• Longer. More detail, for a step that goes by too fast.
• Fix grammar. Cleans up the wording and leaves the meaning alone.

Rewriting the text costs nothing. You only use minutes when you re-narrate to hear it in the voice.

Other segment edits#

• Split. Break a long segment into two, so a busy stretch gets two lines instead of one.
• Delete. Drop a segment you do not need. It stops appearing as a chapter too.
• Trim. Cut dead time from the end of a segment.

When to use it#

• Fix a name or a term.
• Reword a step that is not clear.
• Adjust the tone of a single line.
