Slide-by-slide narration
Last updated
In short
- ScreenDub reads each slide and writes narration for it, then joins them into one video.
- Each slide stays on screen for the length of its narration.
- Edit any slide’s wording and re-narrate just that one.
- Pick a transition between slides, or keep a hard cut.
After you upload a deck, ScreenDub narrates it slide by slide. The result is a single video, with each slide voiced and timed for you.
How it works
- ScreenDub reads each slide. It looks at the headline, the bullets, and the visuals.
- It writes a narration script for each slide based on that content.
- Each slide stays on screen for the full length of its narration.
- All the slides are joined into one continuous video.
Editing the script
The script is yours to edit. You can change the wording on any slide, and re-narrate a slide if it needs a fix. The first edit on each segment is free. See Corrections & re-narration.
Voice and language
Pick the voice and accent that fit your deck. You can also translate the narration into other languages, so one deck can ship to many markets. See Choosing a voice & accent and Translating narration.
Transitions between slides
By default one slide cuts straight to the next. You can pick a transition instead: Fade, Push, Wipe, Zoom, Dip to black, Cover, Iris, Blur, Reveal, and Split. Find them in Customize, under Edit & Overlay. See Customizing the look.
Narrated handout
Your deck can also become a written guide, pairing each slide with its narration and a picture of the slide. You can edit it and download it as a PDF to send alongside the video. See Guided documentation.
