In short
- Your recordings, decks, and videos are private to your account.
- ScreenDub does not train AI models on your content.
- Quality-review copies of downloads are deleted within 30 days, sooner if you delete the project.
- Delete a project or your account at any time to remove the files.
Your recordings, decks, and videos are yours. This page explains where your files live, who can see them, and how to remove them. For the full policy, see our privacy policy.
Where your files are stored
Your source files, narration audio, and exports are kept in secure, private cloud storage. They are not public by default. Only you can open them from your account.
We do not train on your content
ScreenDub does not use your recordings, decks, or videos to train AI models. Your content is used to make your video, and nothing more.
Your projects are private
Projects are visible only to you, from your own account. There are no public pages, and nothing you make is listed or discoverable. To give someone the video, you download it and send the file. See Downloading your video.
Recordings made with the extension
A recording made with the Chrome extension stays in your browser until you bring it into your account. Anything you never import is deleted automatically after seven days. See The Chrome extension.
Quality-review copies
When you download an export, we keep a copy for a short time so we can check the quality of what ScreenDub produces and improve it. These copies are deleted automatically within 30 days, and immediately if you delete the project or your account first.
Deleting your work
- Delete a project to remove its source file, audio, and exports from storage.
- Delete your account to remove your profile, projects, and all generated content.
- Billing records are kept by our payment provider as their own rules require.
You can also email support@screendub.io to request deletion at any time.
