Screen recording
Personalizing your narration
Last updated
A few details shape the script before it is written. They help the video sound like you, not like a generic voiceover. You can set them on the record screen, and you can save them as defaults so you never repeat yourself.
What you can set
- Narrator name. The name the script can use for you. For example, a host name in the intro.
- Narrator handle. Your channel or brand handle. Useful for intros and sign-offs.
- Narrator voice. The voice that reads your script. Pick the tone that fits your brand. See Choosing a voice & accent.
- Narration language. The language the script is written and spoken in.
- Intro hint. How you want the video to open. ScreenDub opens with something close to what you write.
- Conclusion hint. How you want the video to end. It works the same way as the intro hint.
Hint templates
You do not have to write the intro and conclusion from scratch. ScreenDub offers ready-made templates. Pick one and edit it to fit your video.
Do you have to fill these in?
No. Every field is optional. ScreenDub still writes a full script without them. Filling them in just makes the result more personal.
Tip: set your voice and language once as defaults. Then every new project starts with your choices. See Defaults.
