Sharing & export
Downloading & share links
Last updated
There are two ways to deliver your video. You can download the file, or you can share a link. Use whichever fits where the video needs to go.
Download the file
From the editor, download the rendered MP4 to your computer. You can also get a subtitle file alongside it. From there you can upload it anywhere you like. See Captions for the subtitle options.
Share a link
Turn on sharing to publish a public watch page. ScreenDub gives you a link to copy. Anyone with the link can watch the video in their browser. They do not need an account.
- The link plays your rendered video. If no render exists yet, ScreenDub renders it first.
- The page is public only while sharing is on.
- Turn sharing off to take the page down. You can turn it back on later with the same link.
Who can see a shared link
A share page is reachable by anyone who has the link. Search engines are asked not to list it, so it does not show up in normal search results. It stays unlisted, not secret. Share the link only with people you want to watch. To learn how your files are stored, see Privacy & your data.
