PPT to Video
Uploading a deck
Last updated
PPT to Video turns a slide deck into a narrated video. You upload the deck you already have, so there is nothing to rebuild. ScreenDub reads the slides and narrates them for you.
How to upload
- Open the record page.
- Choose the option to upload a presentation.
- Pick your .pdf, .ppt, or .pptx file.
- Confirm the file. ScreenDub uploads it, converts the slides, and starts writing the narration.
Each upload becomes its own project. You will see it convert, then process, then land on ready. A small deck is quick. A large one takes a little longer. You can find the project later on your dashboard.
At a glance
- Formats
- PDF, PPT, PPTX
- Max file size
- 650 MB
- Max slides
- 100 per deck
Keynote decks work too. Export them to PowerPoint or PDF first, then upload that file.
Before you upload
- Finish your edits in the deck first. Upload the final version.
- Make sure the text on each slide reads the way you want it spoken.
- Slides with little or no text still work. ScreenDub narrates from the visuals as well.
If something goes wrong
My file was not accepted.
Upload a PDF, PPT, or PPTX file under 650 MB. Other formats, like Keynote, need to be exported to PowerPoint or PDF first.
My deck has too many slides.
A deck can have up to 100 slides. For a longer deck, split it into two and upload each as its own project.
The conversion failed.
Try the upload again. If it keeps failing, re-export the deck to PDF and upload that instead.
